Chapter No: 1

Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: “There is nothing nobler in Allah’s sight than supplication.”


Narrated from Anas bin Malik (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: “The supplication is the essence of worship.”


Narrated from An-Nu`man bin Bashir (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: “The supplication, is itself worship.” Then he recited: And Your Lord said: “Call upon Me, and I shall answer you. Surely those who are too arogant to worship Me, they shall enter Hell, disgraced."

Chapter No: 2

Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: “Indeed, he who does not ask Allah, He becomes angry on him.”

Chapter No: 3

Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari said: “We were in accompanying Allah’s Apostle ﷺ on a military expedition. When we came back, we overlooked Al-Madinah, and the people were pronouncing the Takbīr, and they raised their voices with it. Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: ‘Surely, your Lord is not deaf or absent. He is among you and nearer to you than the necks of your riding beasts.’ Then he said: ‘O `Abdullah bin Qais, should I not teach you a treasure from the treasures of Paradise: Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh (There is no might or power except by Allah).’”

Chapter No: 4

Narrated from Abdullah bin Busr (RA) that a man said: “O Apostle of Allah ﷺ indeed, the injunctions of Islam have become too much for me, so inform me of a thing that I must abide by.” He ﷺ said: “Let not your tongue cease to be moist with the remembrance of Allah.”

Chapter No: 5

Narrated from Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ was asked: “Which of the worshippers will be higher in rank with Allah on the Day of Judgment?” He said: “Those men who remember Allah much [and women].” He said: “I asked: ‘O Messenger of Allah! ﷺ What about the one who fights in the path of Allah?’ He said: ‘If he strikes his sword on the disbelievers and the polytheists till it breaks and becomes bloody, yet those who remember Allah much are better than him in rank.”

Chapter No: 6

Narrated from Abu Ad-Darda (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Should I not tell you about the best of your deed, and the purest of them with your Master, and the highest of them in your ranks, and what is better for you than spending gold and silver, and better for you than meeting your enemy and striking their necks, and they strike your necks?” They said: “Of course.” He said, “The remembrance of Allah [Most High].” [Then] Mu’adh bin Jabal (RA) said: “There is nothing better saviour from the punishment of Allah than the remembrance of Allah.”

Chapter No: 7

Abu Hurairah (RA) and Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri (RA) bore testimony that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: “There is no group of people who remembers Allah, except that the angels surround them, mercy encompass them, and peace descends upon them: and Allah remembers (mentions) them to those who are with Him.”


Narrated from Abu Sa’eed Al Khudri (RA) that Mu’awiyah came out to the Masjid and said: “What brought you to gather for this sitting.” They said: “We gathered so that we may remember Allah.” He asked, “By Allah, nothing caused you to gather for this sitting except for that?” They replied, “By Allah, nothing caused us to gather for this sitting except for that.” He said: “Indeed, I did not ask you out of suspicion, and there was no one in the position I was with the Apostle of Allah ﷺ who narrates less Ahadith from him than me. Indeed, Allah’s Apostle ﷺ emerged upon a circle of his Companions and asked: ‘what has caused you to gather for this sitting?’ They replied: ‘We have gathered for this sitting to remember Allah, and praise Him for His having guided us to Islam, and having bestowed blessings upon us.’ So, he said: ‘By Allah, nothing caused you to gather for this sitting except for that?’ They replied: ‘By Allah, nothing caused us to gather for this sitting except for that’ He said: ‘Indeed, I did not ask you out of suspicion, verily Jibril (AS) came to me and told me that Allah took pride of you to the angels.’”

Chapter No: 8

Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: “There is no group among people who sit together in an assembly in which they do not remember Allah, nor invoke blessings upon their Prophet, except it will be a source of remorse for them. If He (Allah) wills, He will punish them, and if He wills, He will forgive them.”

Chapter No: 9

Narrated from Jabir that Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said: “There is none who makes a supplication, except that Allah grants him what he asked, or prevents from him an evil equal to it – as long as he does not supplicate for something evil, or severing of ties of relationship.”


Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: “Whoever is pleased with Allah responding to him during hardship and grief, then he should supplicate plentifully when at ease.”


Narrated from Jabir bin `Abdullah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: “The most excellent remembrance is: ‘there is none worthy of worship except Allah (Lā ilāha illallāh)’ and the most excellent supplication is: ‘All praise is due to Allah (Al-ḥamdulillāh).’”


Narrated from A'ishah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ used to remember Allah in all moments.

Chapter No: 10

Narrated from Ubayy bin Ka`b (RA) that whenever Allah’s Apostle ﷺ would mention someone, so, he would supplicate for him, he would begin with himself.
