Sayings of the Messenger احادیثِ رسول اللہ ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، وَعُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالاَ: حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، وَابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلِمَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقْرِئُنَا القُرْآنَ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ جُنُبًا.

Ali (RA) said: “Allah's Messenger ﷺ would make us recite the Qur'an in all conditions, as long as he was not Junub.”

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، قَالاَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: دَخَلَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ الْمَسْجِدَ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسٌ، فَصَلَّى، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ، قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي وَمُحَمَّدًا وَلاَ تَرْحَمْ مَعَنَا أَحَدًا، فَالتَفَتَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: لَقَدْ تَحَجَّرْتَ وَاسِعًا، فَلَمْ يَلْبَثْ أَنْ بَالَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَأَسْرَعَ إِلَيْهِ النَّاسُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَهْرِيقُوا عَلَيْهِ سَجْلاً مِنْ مَاءٍ، أَوْ دَلْوًا مِنْ مَاءٍ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنَّمَا بُعِثْتُمْ مُيَسِّرِينَ وَلَمْ تُبْعَثُوا مُعَسِّرِينَ.

Abu Hurairah (RA) said: "A Bedouin entered the Masjid while the Prophet ﷺ was sitting. He offered Salah, ﷺ and then he supplicated: 'O Allah! Have mercy upon me and Muhammad ﷺ, and do not have mercy on anyone else besides us.' The Prophet turned, towards him and said: ‘you have limited (the application of) a very large thing (Mercy).' It was not long before when this man urinated in the Masjid. So the people ran towards him. But the Prophet ﷺsaid: 'Pour a bucket of water over it, or a tumbler of water over it.' Then he said: 'you have been sent only as those who make things easy (for the people) and not as those who create difficulties.'"

قَالَ سَعِيدٌ: قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: وَحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، نَحْوَ هَذَا.
