Chapter No: 1

Narrated from An-Numan bin Bashir (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺsaid: "The Halal (lawful) is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between them are matters which are doubtful (not clear). Many of the people do not recognize whether they are lawful or unlawful. So whoever left it in order to protect his religion and his honor, then indeed he remained safe, and whoever falls into something from them, then he is near to fall into the unlawful. Just like if someone grazes (his animals) around a sanctuary, he would soon wind up in it. Indeed for every king is a sanctuary, and indeed Allah's sanctuary is what He made unlawful."

Chapter No: 2

Narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ cursed the one who takes Riba (Interest), and the one who pays it, those who witnessed it (deal), and the one who writes it down."

Chapter No: 3

Narrated from Anas that the Prophet ﷺsaid about the major sins: "Associating partners with Allah, disobeying parents, killing someone, and falsehood (are major sins)."

Chapter No: 4

Qais bin Abi Gharazah (RA) said:" Allah’s Apostle ﷺ came to us, and we were called as 'brokers' (by the people) he said: 'O people of trade! Indeed, the Shaitan and sin are present at the sale, so blend your sales with charity.'"


Narrated from Abu Sa'eed (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "The truthful, trustworthy trader will be along with the Prophets, the truthful, and the martyrs (on the day of resurrection)."


Isma'il bin 'Ubaid bin Rifa'ah narrated from his father, from his grandfather, that he went with Allah’s Apostle ﷺ to the place of prayer, and he saw the people engaged in business so he said: 'O people of trade!' and they gave attention to the Apostle of Allah ﷺ turning their necks and their gazes towards him, and he said: Indeed the traders will be resurrected on the Day of judgment as sinners, except those who fears Allah, and is pious and speaks truth.'"

Chapter No: 5

Narrated from Abu Dharr (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "On the Day of Judgment Allah will not look upon three kinds of people, nor will He purify them, and for them is a painful punishment." We asked: "Who are they O Apostle of Allah ﷺ? For they are indeed unsuccessful and are lost!" He replied: "The one who reminds others of his favors, the one whose garments hangs (below the ankles) and the one who promotes his merchandise through false oath."

Chapter No: 6

Narrated from Sakhar Al-Ghamidi (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said "O Allah bless my Ummah in the earlier part of their day." He (narrator) said: "Whenever he ﷺ would dispatch a military expedition or an army, he would send them in the beginning of the day." And Sakhr (the narrator himself) was a merchant, and he used to send his goods for trade at the beginning of the day, so he became rich, and his wealth increased.

Chapter No: 7

Aishah (RA) said: “Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) was wearing two thick Qitri garments. When he would sit, he would start to perspire since they were so heavy for him. Some clothes came from Ash-Sham for a certain Jew. I said to him: ‘Maybe you send someone to him to buy some garments (on credit) from him until it is easy (to pay). So he sent a message to him and he said: 'I know what he wants. He only wants to take away my wealth' or 'my Dirham.' So Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) said: 'He has lied, indeed he knows that I am the one with the most fear of Allah among them, and the best at fulfilling trusts among them.'"


Narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ died while his armor was mortgaged for twenty Sa' of food that he had taken for his family.


Anas (RA) said: “I walked to the Prophet ﷺ with some barley bread that has some rancid oil poured over it. The Prophet ﷺ had mortgaged his armor with a Jew for twenty Sa' of food that he had taken for his family. that day (he mortgaged it).” (Qatadah said) I heard him (Anas) saying: “Not for single evening has the household of Muhammad ﷺhad a Sa' of dates or a Sa' of grain, while on that day he had nine wives."

Chapter No: 8

Abdul Majid bin Wahb said: “Al-'Adda' bin Khalid bin Hawdhah said to me: ‘Shall I not read to you a letter that was composed for me by the Apostle of Allah ﷺ?’” He said: “I said: ‘surely. ‘So he brought out a letter for me: ‘This is what Al-'Adda' bin Khalid bin Hawdhah purchased from Muhammad, the Apostle of Allah ﷺ: He purchased from him a slave' - or - 'a female slave, with no ailments, nor being a runaway, nor have any malignant behavior. A transaction between two Muslims.'"

Chapter No: 9

Narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺsaid to the people who made their sale through weights and measures: "Indeed you have been entrusted with two matters with which nations preceding you in the past were destroyed.”

Chapter No: 10

Narrated from Anas bin Malik (RA) that Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) sold a saddle blanket and a drinking bowl. He ﷺ said: "Who will buy saddle blanket and drinking bowl?” So a man said: "I will buy them for one Dirham." So the Prophet ﷺ said: "Who will increase it over one Dirham? Who will increase it over one Dirham?" So, A man gave him two Dirham, so he sold them to him.
