Chapter No: 1

Narrated By Ibn Umar that the Prophet ﷺ said: “No Salah (prayers) will be accepted without purification and no charity will be accepted from Ghulul (wealth of betrayal)” Hannad (one of the narrator) said in his narration “except with purification” (instead of without purification)

Chapter No: 2

Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: “When a Muslim or a believer servant, performs Wudu' (ablution), and washes his face, every sin he committed with his eyes go away with the water - or with the last drop of water, or an expression similar to that, and when he washes his hands, every sin he did with his hands go away with the water - or with the last drop of water, until he becomes free of sin.”

Chapter No: 3

Narrated from Ali (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "The key to Salah is the purification, its Tahrim (prohibition) is the Takbir, and its Tahlil (legality) is the Taslim."


Narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah (RA) that Allah's Apostle ﷺ said: "The key to Paradise is Salah, and the key to Salah is Wudu."

Chapter No: 4

Anas bin Malik (RA) reported: "When the Prophet ﷺ would enter the toilet he used to say: 'O Allah Indeed I seek refuge in You’ " Shu'bah (one of the narrators) said: "Another time he said: 'I seek refuge in You from AI-Khubthi and al-Khabeeth (impurity and the impure person)' Or : 'Al-Khubuthi and Al-Khaba'ith (impure male jinns and impure female jinns)'"


Anas bin Malik (RA) said: "When the Prophet ﷺ would enter the toilet, he said: "O Allah! Indeed I seek refuge in You from Al-Khubuthi and Al- Khaba'ith (impure male jinns and impure female jinns)."

Chapter No: 5

Aishah (RA) said: "When the Prophet ﷺ would exit the toilet he used to say: 'Ghufranak!' (O Allah I ask Your forgiveness)"

Chapter No: 6

Narrated from Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari (RA) that Allah's Apostle ﷺ said: "When you arrive to defecate, then neither face the Qiblah while defecating or urinating, nor have your back towards it, but have it east of you or west of you." Abu Ayyub said: “we came to Ash- Sham and found lavatories facing the Qiblah so we would turn from it and ask Allah’s forgiveness.”

Chapter No: 7

Narrated from Abu Qatadah (RA) that he saw the Prophet ﷺurinating while facing the Qiblah.


Ibn Umar (RA) said: “One day I ascended upon Hafsah's house, and I saw the Prophet ﷺ relieving himself while facing Ash-Sham, with his back toward the Ka'bah."


Jabir bin Abdullah (RA) said: “The Prophet ﷺ forbade us from facing the Qiblah while urinating. Then I saw him facing it a year before he died."

Chapter No: 8

Aishah (RA) said: "Whoever told you that the Prophet ﷺ urinated while standing; then do not believe in him. He ﷺ would not urinate except while squatting."

Chapter No: 9

Hudhaifah (RA) said that Allah's Apostleﷺ came to a waste yard used by people, so he urinated upon it while standing. I brought him the (water for) Wudu and I left to be away from him, but he called me until I was behind him. So he performed Wudu and wiped (Masaha) over his both Khuffs (leather socks)."

Chapter No: 10

Anas (RA) said: "When the Prophet ﷺ wanted to relieve himself, he would not lift his garment until he was near the ground"
