حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ نُذَيْرٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ: أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَضَلَةِ سَاقِي، أَوْ سَاقِهِ، فَقَالَ: هَذَا مَوْضِعُ الإِزَارِ، فَإِنْ أَبَيْتَ فَأَسْفَلَ، فَإِنْ أَبَيْتَ فَلاَ حَقَّ لِلإِزَارِ فِي الكَعْبَيْنِ.
Hudhaifa (RA) said: “Allah’s Apostle ﷺ caught the calf of my shin - or his shin - and he said: "This is the place (lower limit) of the Izar, if you must lower it, then the Izar has no right to be on the ankles."
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الحَسَنِ العَسْقَلاَنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رُكَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رُكَانَةَ صَارَعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَرَعَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ رُكَانَةُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ فَرْقَ مَا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ العَمَائِمُ عَلَى القَلاَنِسِ.
Abu Ja'far bin Muhammad bin Rukanah narrated from his father that Rukanah wrestled the Prophet ﷺ and the Prophet ﷺ won the match. Rukanah said: "I heard the Apostle of Allah ﷺ saying: “Indeed the difference between us and between the idolater is the turban over the cap."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ، وَأَبُو تُمَيْلَةَ يَحْيَى بْنُ وَاضِحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيْهِ خَاتَمٌ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ، فَقَالَ: مَا لِي أَرَى عَلَيْكَ حِلْيَةَ أَهْلِ النَّارِ؟، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ وَعَلَيْهِ خَاتَمٌ مِنْ صُفْرٍ، فَقَالَ: مَا لِي أَجِدُ مِنْكَ رِيحَ الأَصْنَامِ؟، ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ وَعَلَيْهِ خَاتَمٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَقَالَ: ارْمِ عَنْكَ حِلْيَةَ أَهْلِ الجَنَّةِ؟، قَالَ: مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ أَتَّخِذُهُ؟ قَالَ: مِنْ وَرِقٍ، وَلاَ تُتِمَّهُ مِثْقَالاً.
Abdullah bin Buraidah narrated from his father who said: "A man came to the Prophet ﷺ who was wearing an iron ring. So he said to him: 'Why is that I see on you, jewelry of the people of the Fire?' Then he came wearing a ring of brass. So he said: 'Why is that I sense on you smell of idols?' Then he came wearing a ring of gold. So he said to him: 'What is that I see on you jewelry of the people of Paradise?' So he said: 'What should I use then?' He said: 'From silver, but not its entire weight."
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى قَال: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا يَقُولُ: نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ القَسِّيِّ، وَالمِيثَرَةِ الحَمْرَاءِ، وَأَنْ أَلْبَسَ خَاتَمِي فِي هَذِهِ وَفِي هَذِهِ، وَأَشَارَ إِلَى السَّبَّابَةِ وَالوُسْطَى.
Ibn Abi Musa said: "I heard Ali (RA) saying: 'The Apostle of Allah ﷺ Al-Qassi (A silken cloth), (to ride on) a red saddle cloth, and wearing rings on this and this.' And he pointed to the index and middle fingers."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: كَانَ أَحَبَّ الثِّيَابِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَلْبَسُهَا الحِبَرَةُ.
Narrated from Anas (RA) that Hibrah was the favorite garment of Apostle ﷺ.
