Ali (RA) said: "I did not hear the Prophet ﷺ mentioning both of his parents for anyone other than Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (RA)." (it means that he said to him, “May my father and mother be ransomed to you.”

Chapter No: 61
Ali (RA) said: " Allah’s Apostle ﷺ did not mention both of his parents for anyone except Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (RA). On the Day of Uhud he said: 'Shoot, may my father and mother be ransomed for you.' And he said to him: 'Shoot! O strong man.'"
Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (RA) said: "Allah’s Apostle ﷺ mentioned both of his parents to me on the Day of Uhud. He said: ‘May my father and mother be ransomed to you.’”

Narrated from Anas (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said to him: "O my little son."

Amr bin Shu'aib narrated from his father, from his grandfather that the Prophet ﷺ commanded to name the newborn on the seventh day, (the same day) his hair should be shaved and his Aqiqah (sacrifice of animals) performed.

Narrated from Ibn Umar (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "The dearest of names to Allah are Abdullah and Abdur-Rahman."

Narrated from Umar bin Al-Khattab (RA) that Allah's Apostle ﷺ said: "Indeed I prohibit naming with Rafi, Barakah and Yasar."
Narrated from Samurah bin Jundab (RA) that Allah's Apostle ﷺ said: "Do not name your child Rabaah, Aflah, Yasaar, Najih. It might be asked, ‘Is he there and the answer might be, ‘No’.”
Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "The worst of the names in the sight of Allah on the Day of Judgement is that of a man named King of Kings. (Malikil-Amlak."( Sufyan said, “It means Shahinshah.”
Chapter No: 66
Narrated from Ibn Umar (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ changed the name of A’asiyah (RA), he said: "You are Jamilah."
Narrated from Aishah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ used to change the disliked names. Abu Bakr bin Nafi said: "Sometimes Umar bin Ali would narrate this Hadith: "Hisham bin 'Urwah from his father, from the Prophet ﷺin Mursal form, and he would not mention from Aishah (RA) in it."
Chapter No: 67
Muhammad bin Jubair bin Mut'im narrated from his father that Allah's Apostle ﷺ said: "Indeed, I have many names: I am Muhammad, I am Ahmad, I am Al-Mahi, the one by whom Allah erases disbelief, I am Al-Hashir, the one whom the people are gathered at his feet, and I am Al-'Aqib, the one after whom there is no Prophet."

Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ disallowed that anyone should give himself his name and his Kunyah together, naming himself Muhammad Abul Qasim.
Narrated from Jabir (RA) that Allah's Apostle ﷺ said: "If you name yourself after me, then do not use my Kunyah."
Narrated from Ali bin Abi Talib (RA) that he asked: "O Apostle of Allah ﷺ! what do you say if a son is born to me after your death, may I name him Muhamamd and give him your kunyah?” He said, “Yes.” So, he said: "So that was a permission for me."

Narrated from Abdullah (RA) that Allah's Apostle ﷺ said: "Indeed there is wisdom in some poetry."

Aishah (RA) said: " Allah's Apostle ﷺ had a Minbar placed in the Masjid for Hassaan (RA) to stand to boast (poetically) about the Apostle of Allah ﷺ" - or she said: "to defend the Apostle of Allah ﷺ And the Apostle of Allah ﷺ said: 'Indeed Allah has aided Hassaan with the holy spirit (Jibril) as he boasts about - or - defends the Apostle of Allah
Narrated from Anas (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ entered Makkah during 'Umratil-Qada ' and Abdullah bin Rawahah (RA) was walking in front of him reciting lines of poetry. "O tribes of disbelievers get out of his way - today we will strike you about its revelation; a strike that removes the heads from the shoulders - and makes the friend not concerned about his friend." 'Umar (RA) said to him: "O Ibn Rawahah! Before the Apostle of Allah ﷺ and in the sanctuary of Allah you utter poetry?" the Apostle of Allah ﷺ said: "Leave him O 'Umar! For it is quicker upon them than the raining arrow."
Al-Miqdam bin Shuraih narrated from his father, that Aishah (RA) was asked: "Did the Prophet ﷺ used to say any poetry?" She said: " He used to recite this line of lbn Rawahah (RA), saying: 'News shall come to you from where you did not expect it.'"
Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "The best poetic words an Arab spoke is the saying of Labid: 'Everything aside from Allah perishes.'"
Jabir bin Samurah (RA) said:"I sat with the Prophet ﷺ more than one-hundred times. His Companions used to recite poetry and recall affairs that occurred during Jahiliyyah, and he used to remain silent, and sometimes he would smile along with them."
