حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ، قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَوَضَّأَ فَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: أَقَبْلَ الْمَائِدَةِ أَمْ بَعْدَ الْمَائِدَةِ، قَالَ: مَا أَسْلَمْتُ إِلاَّ بَعْدَ الْمَائِدَةِ.
Shahr bin Hawshab said: "I saw that Jarir bin Abdullah (RA) made Wudu and wiped over his Khuff (leather socks)." He (narrator) said: "So I said something about that after which he said: 'I saw that the Prophet ﷺ made Wudu and he wiped over his Khuff.' So, I asked him: 'Was that Before Al-Ma'idah or after Al-Ma'idah?' He said: 'I did not embraced Islam until after Al-Ma'idah.'"
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرَّازِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ النَّحْوِيُّ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ نَحْوَهُ.
(Another chain) Muhammad ibn Humayd Razi reported that Nuaym ibn Maysarah Nahwi reported the like of it from Khalid ibn Ziyad.
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ الخُرَاسَانِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَُرَ، عَنْ عَمَّارٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ لِلْجُنُبِ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ، أَوْ يَشْرَبَ، أَوْ يَنَامَ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ.
Narrated from Ammar (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ allowed the Junub (sexually impure) to make Wudu like the Wudu for Salah if he intends to eat, drink, or sleep.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ القَطَوَانِيُّ الكُوفِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا غَالِبٌ أَبُو بِشْرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ عَائِذٍ الطَّائِيِّ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أُعِيذُكَ بِاللَّهِ يَا كَعْبَ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ مِنْ أُمَرَاءَ يَكُونُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِي، فَمَنْ غَشِيَ أَبْوَابَهُمْ فَصَدَّقَهُمْ فِي كَذِبِهِمْ، وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ، وَلاَ يَرِدُ عَلَيَّ الحَوْضَ، وَمَنْ غَشِيَ أَبْوَابَهُمْ أَوْ لَمْ يَغْشَ وَلَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ فِي كَذِبِهِمْ، وَلَمْ يُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ، فَهُوَ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ، وَسَيَرِدُ عَلَيَّ الحَوْضَ، يَا كَعْبَ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ الصَّلاَةُ بُرْهَانٌ، وَالصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ حَصِينَةٌ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ تُطْفِئُ الخَطِيئَةَ كَمَا يُطْفِئُ الْمَاءُ النَّارَ، يَا كَعْبَ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ، إِنَّهُ لاَ يَرْبُو لَحْمٌ نَبَتَ مِنْ سُحْتٍ إِلاَّ كَانَتِ النَّارُ أَوْلَى بِهِ.
Ka'b bin Ujrah (RA) said: " Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said to me: ' O Ka'b bin Ujrah! I place you in in Allah's refuge from the rulers who will be after me. Whoever entered their doors and certified of their lies and aided them in their oppression, then he is not of me and I am not of him, and he will not come to me at the Hawd (pond). And whoever entered their doors, or he does not enter, and he did not certify their lies and he did not aid them in their oppression, then he is from me and I am from him, and he will meet me at the Hawd. O Ka'b bin Ujrah! Salah is clear evidence, and fasting is an invincible shield, and charity extinguishes sins just as water extinguishes fire. O Ka'b bin Ujrah! There is no flesh that nurtures from the unlawful except that the Fire is more appropriate for it.'"
وقَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ غَالِبٍ بِهَذَا.
Muhammad said: "Ibn Numair narrated to us from Ubaidullah bin Musa, from Ghalib" this (Hadith).
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الكُوفِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الحُبَابِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيمُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ فِي حَجَّةِ الوَدَاعِ فَقَالَ: اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ، وَصَلُّوا خَمْسَكُمْ، وَصُومُوا شَهْرَكُمْ، وَأَدُّوا زَكَاةَ أَمْوَالِكُمْ، وَأَطِيعُوا ذَا أَمْرِكُمْ تَدْخُلُوا جَنَّةَ رَبِّكُمْ، قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ لأَبِي أُمَامَةَ: مُنْذُ كَمْ سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذَا الحَدِيثِ؟ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُهُ وَأَنَا ابْنُ ثَلاَثِينَ سَنَةً.
Sulaim bin Amir heard Abu Umamah (RA) saying: "I heard Allah’s Apostle ﷺ giving a sermon during the Farewell Hajj, and he said: ‘Fear Allah, your Lord, and offer your five (daily) Salah, and fast your month (of Ramadan), and give the Zakah on your wealth, and obey your rulers, you will enter the Paradise of your Lord.'" He (narrator) said: "I asked Abu Umamah (RA): 'How long ago you heard this Hadith (from the Apostle of Allah ﷺ )?' He replied: 'I heard it when I was thirty years old.'"
