Sayings of the Messenger احادیثِ رسول اللہ ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ: اسْتَبَّ رَجُلاَنِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى عُرِفَ الغَضَبُ فِي وَجْهِ أَحَدِهِمَا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنِّي لأَعْلَمُ كَلِمَةً لَوْ قَالَهَا لَذَهَبَ غَضَبُهُ: أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ.

Narrated from Mu`adh bin Jabal (RA) that two men started cursing each other in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ, until anger was visible in the face of one of them. So, the Prophet ﷺ said: “Verily, I know an expression, that if he were to utter it, his anger would leave: ‘I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil.’”

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الهَادِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الخُدْرِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: إِذَا رَأَى أَحَدُكُمُ الرُّؤْيَا يُحِبُّهَا فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ مِنَ اللهِ فَلْيَحْمَدِ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهَا وَلْيُحَدِّثْ بِمَا رَأَى، وَإِذَا رَأَى غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ مِمَّا يَكْرَهُهُ فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ، فَلْيَسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَلاَ يَذْكُرْهَا لأَحَدٍ فَإِنَّهَا لاَ تَضُرُّهُ.

Narrated from Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri (RA) that he heard the Prophet ﷺ saying: “When one of you sees a dream that he likes, then it is from Allah, so he should praise Allah for it, and speak concerning what he saw. And when he sees other than that of what he dislikes, then it is from Shaitan, so he should seek refuge in

حَدَّثَنَا الأَنْصَارِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ (ح) وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّاسُ إِذَا رَأَوْا أَوَّلَ الثَّمَرِ جَاءُوا بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَإِذَا أَخَذَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي ثِمَارِنَا، وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي مَدِينَتِنَا وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي صَاعِنَا وَمُدِّنَا، اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَبْدُكَ وَخَلِيلُكَ وَنَبِيُّكَ وَإِنِّي عَبْدُكَ وَنَبِيُّكَ، وَإِنَّهُ دَعَاكَ لِمَكَّةَ وَأَنَا أَدْعُوكَ لِلْمَدِينَةِ بِمِثْلِ مَا دَعَاكَ بِهِ لِمَكَّةَ وَمِثْلِهِ مَعَهُ، ثُمَّ يَدْعُو أَصْغَرَ وَلِيدٍ يَرَاهُ فَيُعْطِيهِ ذَلِكَ الثَّمَرَ.

Abu Hurairah (RA) said: “When the people would see the first fruit, they would bring it to Allah’s Apostle ﷺ. So, Allah’s Apostle ﷺ would take it (in his hand), he would say: ‘O Allah, bless us in our fruits and bless us in our city and bless us in our sa’ and our mudd. O Allah, surely Ibrahim (AS) was Your slave and Your friend and Your Prophet, and I am Your slave and Your Prophet. He had prayed to You for Makkah and I pray to You for Madinah like he had prayed to You for Makkah, and as much of it again. Then he would call the youngest child that he could find (around) and gave him that fruit.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي حَرْمَلَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَا وَخَالِدُ بْنُ الوَلِيدِ عَلَى مَيْمُونَةَ فَجَاءَتْنَا بِإِنَاءٍ مِنْ لَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا عَلَى يَمِينِهِ وَخَالِدٌ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ،فَقَالَ لِي: الشَّرْبَةُ لَكَ، فَإِنْ شِئْتَ آثَرْتَ بِهَا خَالِدًا، فَقُلْتُ: مَا كُنْتُ أُوثِرُ عَلَى سُؤْرِكَ أَحَدًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ أَطْعَمَهُ اللَّهُ الطَّعَامَ فَلْيَقُلْ: اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيهِ وَأَطْعِمْنَا خَيْرًا مِنْهُ، وَمَنْ سَقَاهُ اللَّهُ لَبَنًا فَلْيَقُلْ: اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيهِ وَزِدْنَا مِنْهُ. وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ يَجْزِي مَكَانَ الطَّعَامِ وَالشَّرَابِ غَيْرُ اللَّبَنِ.

Ibn Abbas (RA) said: “I and Khalid bin Al-Walid (RA) entered with the Apostle of Allah ﷺ upon Maimunah (RA) so she brought us a vessel of milk. Allah’s Apostle ﷺ drank from it. I was to his right and Khalid was to his left, so he said to me: ‘The (turn to) drink is for you, so if you wish, you could choose to grant it to Khalid.’ So, I said: ‘I would not prefer anyone (above myself) for your leftovers.’ Then Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: ‘Whoever Allah feeds some food, then he should say: “O Allah, bless it for us, and feed us better than it” and whomsoever Allah gives milk to drink, then he should say: “O Allah bless it for us, and grant us increase in it.” And Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said, ‘There is nothing besides milk that will suffice as food and drink.’”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ثَوْرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا رُفِعَتِ الْمَائِدَةُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ: الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ غَيْرَ مُوَدَّعٍ وَلاَ مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ رَبُّنَا.

Narrated from Abu Umamah (RA) that when the dining mat was removed from the front of him, Allah’s Apostle ﷺ would say: “All praise is due to Allah, abundant, pure and blessed praise, without being left off, nor being without need of it, O our Lord.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، وَأَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ رِيَاحِ بْنِ عَبِيدَةَ، قَالَ حَفْصٌ: عَنِ ابْنِ أَخِي أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، وقَالَ أَبُو خَالِدٍ: عَنْ مَوْلًى لأَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَوْ شَرِبَ قَالَ: الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِينَ.

Narrated from Abu Sa`eed (RA) that when the Prophet ﷺ would eat or drink, he would recite: “All praise is due to Allah who fed us and gave us drink, and caused us to be Muslims.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَرْحُومٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ أَكَلَ طَعَامًا فَقَالَ: الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلاَ قُوَّةٍ، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ.

Sahl bin Muadh bin Anas narrated from his father that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: “Whoever eats food and then recites: ‘All praise belongs to Allah who fed me this and provided it to me without my possession power or ability (to acquire it), then he is forgiven all his past sins.”

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ صِيَاحَ الدِّيَكَةِ فَاسْأَلُوا اللَّهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ فَإِنَّهَا رَأَتْ مَلَكًا، وَإِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ نَهِيقَ الحِمَارِ فَتَعَوَّذُوا بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِنَّهُ رَأَى شَيْطَانًا.

Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: “when you hear the crowing of the roosters, then ask Allah for His favours, for verily they have seen an angel. When you hear the braying of a donkey, then seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaitan, for, verily, it has seen a Shaitan.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ السَّهْمِيُّ، عَنْ حَاتِمِ بْنِ أَبِي صَغِيرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بَلْجٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَا عَلَى الأَرْضِ أَحَدٌ يَقُولُ: لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ، إِلاَّ كُفِّرَتْ عَنْهُ خَطَايَاهُ وَلَوْ كَانَتْ مِثْلَ زَبَدِ البَحْرِ.

Narrated from Abdullah bin Amr (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: “There is none on the surface of earth who says: ‘There is no God but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest, and there is no might nor power except by Allah, except that his sins shall be pardoned, even if they were like the foam of the ocean.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَرْحُومُ بْنُ عَبْدِ العَزِيزِ العَطَّارُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَعَامَةَ السَّعْدِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيِّ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزَاةٍ، فَلَمَّا قَفَلْنَا أَشْرَفْنَا عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَكَبَّرَ النَّاسُ تَكْبِيرَةً وَرَفَعُوا بِهَا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَيْسَ بِأَصَمَّ وَلاَ غَائِبٍ، هُوَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَ رُءُوسِ رِحَالِكُمْ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ قَيْسٍ، أَلاَ أُعَلِّمُكَ كَنْزًا مِنْ كُنُوزِ الجَنَّةِ: لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ.

Abu Musa Al-Ashari said: “We were in the company of Allah’s Apostle ﷺ on a military expedition. When we came back, we overlooked Al-Madinah, and the people were chanting the Takbir, and they raised their voices with it. Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: ‘Indeed, your Lord is not deaf nor absent, He is between you and between the heads of your mounts.’ Then he said: ‘O `Abdullah bin Qais, should I not teach you about a treasure from the treasures of Paradise: Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh (There is no might or power except by Allah).’”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ القَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقِيتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِي فَقَالَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ، أَقْرِئْ أُمَّتَكَ مِنِّي السَّلاَمَ وَأَخْبِرْهُمْ أَنَّ الجَنَّةَ طَيِّبَةُ التُّرْبَةِ عَذْبَةُ الْمَاءِ، وَأَنَّهَا قِيعَانٌ، وَأَنَّ غِرَاسَهَا سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ.

Narrated from Ibn Mas`ud (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: “I met Ibrahim (AS) on the night of my Miraj (ascension to the heavens) and he said to me: ‘O Muhammad ﷺ, convey my Salam to your Ummah, and inform them that Paradise has pure soil and delicious water, and that it is a flat treeless plain, and that its seeds are: “Glorified be Allah and praise be to Allah and there is no God but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest..”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى الجُهَنِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُصْعَبُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِجُلَسَائِهِ: أَيَعْجِزُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَكْسِبَ أَلْفَ حَسَنَةٍ؟ فَسَأَلَهُ سَائِلٌ مِنْ جُلَسَائِهِ: كَيْفَ يَكْسِبُ أَحَدُنَا أَلْفَ حَسَنَةٍ؟ قَالَ: يُسَبِّحُ أَحَدُكُمْ مِائَةَ تَسْبِيحَةٍ تُكْتَبُ لَهُ أَلْفُ حَسَنَةٍ، وَتُحَطُّ عَنْهُ أَلْفُ سَيِّئَةٍ.

Mus`ab bin Sa`d narrated from his father, that Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said to those seated with him: “Is one of you unable to earn a thousand pious deeds?” So, a questioner among those seated with him asked him: “How can one of us earn a thousand pious deeds?” He replied: “(When) one of you recites a hundred Tasbīḥāt a thousand pious deeds are recorded for him, and a thousand evil deeds are deleted from his record.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ، قَالُوا: حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ الصَّوَّافِ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: مَنْ قَالَ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ العَظِيمِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ، غُرِسَتْ لَهُ نَخْلَةٌ فِي الجَنَّةِ.

Narrated from Jabir (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever says: ‘Glorified be Allah the Mighty and with His praise, then a tree is planted for him in Paradise.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْمُؤَمَّلُ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: مَنْ قَالَ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ العَظِيمِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ غُرِسَتْ لَهُ نَخْلَةٌ فِي الجَنَّةِ.

Narrated from Jabir (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever says: ‘Glorified be Allah, the Magnificent, and with His Praise, a date-palm tree is planted for him in Paradise.”

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الكُوفِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: مَنْ قَالَ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ غُفِرَتْ لَهُ ذُنُوبُهُ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ مِثْلَ زَبَدِ البَحْرِ.

Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: “Whoever says: ‘Glorified be Allah, and with His Praise, a hundred times, his sins are forgiven, even if they were like the foam of the sea.”

حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عِيسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفُضَيْلِ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ القَعْقَاعِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: كَلِمَتَانِ خَفِيفَتَانِ عَلَى اللِّسَانِ، ثَقِيلَتَانِ فِي الْمِيزَانِ، حَبِيبَتَانِ إِلَى الرَّحْمَنِ، سُبْحَانَ اللهِ العَظِيمِ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ.

Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: “There are two expressions that are light on the tongue, heavy on the Scale, and beloved to Ar-Raḥmān: “Glorified is Allah and the praise; Glorified is Allah, the Magnificent.”

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى الأَنْصَارِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: مَنْ قَالَ: لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ، يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ فِي يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ، كَانَتْ لَهُ عِدْلَ عَشْرِ رِقَابٍ، وَكُتِبَتْ لَهُ مِائَةُ حَسَنَةٍ، وَمُحِيَتْ عَنْهُ مِائَةُ سَيِّئَةٍ، وَكَانَ لَهُ حِرْزًا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ يَوْمَهُ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ، وَلَمْ يَأْتِ أَحَدٌ بِأَفْضَلَ مِمَّا جَاءَ بِهِ إِلاَّ أَحَدٌ عَمِلَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ.وَبِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: مَنْ قَالَ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ حُطَّتْ خَطَايَاهُ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ زَبَدِ البَحْرِ.

Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said: “Whoever says: ‘There is no God butt Allah, Alone, without partner, to Him belongs all that exists and to Him belongs the praise, He gives life and causes death, and He is Powerful over all things, a hundred times in a day, he will have a reward for setting free ten slaves, and a hundred good deeds shall be recorded for him, and a hundred bad deeds shall be erased from his record, and it will be a shield for him against the devil for that day till evening. And none will bring anything more excellent than what he brings unless he does more than this person has done. (of the same thing).” Through the same chain, it is reported from the Prophet ﷺ If anyone says a hundred times: Glorified be Allah, and with His praise, then his sins are erased from his record even if they exceed the foam of the ocean.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّوَارِبِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ العَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ وَحِينَ يُمْسِي: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ لَمْ يَأْتِ أَحَدٌ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ بِأَفْضَلَ مِمَّا جَاءَ بِهِ إِلاَّ أَحَدٌ قَالَ مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ أَوْ زَادَ عَلَيْهِ.

Narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever says in the morning and in the evening ‘Glorified is Allah and with His Praise, a hundred times, no one will come on the day of Resurrection with a better deed except one who said as he did and one who said it more than him.”

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الزِّبْرِقَانِ، عَنْ مَطَرٍ الوَرَّاقِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ لأَصْحَابِهِ: قُولُوا: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ، مَنْ قَالَهَا مَرَّةً كُتِبَتْ لَهُ عَشْرًا، وَمَنْ قَالَهَا عَشْرًا كُتِبَتْ لَهُ مِائَةً، وَمَنْ قَالَهَا مِائَةً كُتِبَتْ لَهُ أَلْفًا، وَمَنْ زَادَ زَادَهُ اللَّهُ، وَمَنْ اسْتَغْفَرَ اللَّهَ غَفَرَ لَهُ.

Narrated from Ibn Umar (RA) that one day Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said to his Companions: “Say ‘Glorified is Allah and with His Praise, a hundred times. Whoever says it one time, it is recorded for him ten (good deed), and whoever says it ten (times), it is recorded for him a hundred (good deeds), and whoever says it a hundred (times), it is recorded for him a thousand (good deeds), and whoever increases, Allah will increase for him, and whoever seeks Allah’s forgiveness, [Allah] will forgive him.”
